GSMP Engineering College Hosts 2K18 Tech-Fest at NS College, Inaugurated by Sri Purnendu Basu
The Electronics Department of GSMP Engineering College organized its 2K18 Tech-Fest on 20 March 2018 at NS College. The event brought together students, faculty and guests for a day of innovation and hands-on learning.
Sri Purnendu Basu, Honorable Minister in charge of the Department of Technical Education, Training and Skill Development, Government of West Bengal, inaugurated the program. His address encouraged students to pursue practical knowledge, creativity and skill development.
Among the active participants was Syed Mosharaf Hossain, who presented and displayed his project during the exhibition. His participation added to the diversity of ideas showcased at the event, and his project drew appreciation from teachers and visitors for its effort and presentation.

The tech-fest included project displays, model demonstrations, robotics activities, circuit design tasks and interactive technical sessions. Students from different semesters engaged enthusiastically, turning the venue into a lively space for learning and exploration.
The combined effort of GSMP Engineering College and NS College faculty ensured smooth coordination throughout the event. Their guidance helped students gain confidence and understand the practical aspects of engineering.
The 2K18 Tech-Fest ended with recognition of outstanding projects and contributors. The event left a positive impact on participants and highlighted the importance of innovation-focused education.

In October 2015, the West Bengal Department of Youth Services organized the State Student Youth Science Fair and Research Competition, held from October 3 to October 10, 2015, at both district and state levels.
